Some of the outcomes and impacts that have been noted in other regions where Food4Kids operates are:
Children who would otherwise be without food have access to nutritious food on a regular basis when the barriers are reduced through a weekend food program.
It proves more efficient to provide a program to children that prevents hunger than to put in place programs that deal with the issues that might result from child hunger later in life, such as mental and physical health issues.
Not only does having consistent access to healthy food prevent physical health issues, it can also contribute to a sense of community and security that boost a child's emotional health and development.
Having access to the healthy food provided in our food packages can create habits related to healthy eating in later life, which can prevent obesity and related illnesses like Type II Diabetes.
